Scalable for Small Businesses

What do you like?

Ease of use. Functionality. All the modules are easy to navigate

What do you dislike?

Reporting in sage is lacking. Especially CSV exports.

What problems is it solving?

ERP requirement for accounting and financial reporting and job costing.

What do you like?

Being able to get job costing down to the task level. Reporting is much more robust and Estimating project is much more accurate.

What do you dislike?

Customizable reports are difficult to create if you don't have training. The Users Group is helpful to an extent but having reports made custom for your company can get expensive.

What problems is it solving?

Job Costing, Reporting, and Estimating have all benefited from switching from Quickbooks to Sage 100 Contractor.

What do you like?

This system has enchanted me because it has allowed me to keep up to date everything related to the database, and it also helps us with everything related to the payroll and the human resources team to be effective in their work, this system is capable of issuing complete and detailed reports. I like this system because I can access it from any device, making it easier to have the information at any time and from any computer. I really like the service that the customer service people provide me since they have been very professional and dedicated in their work, they have also been very patient in attending to every problem that has arisen with the system and my work team.

What do you dislike?

I have been using this system for a while now and I have no complaints about them, we are definitely very satisfied with this software.

What problems is it solving?

Thanks to this system, we have been able to have extensive reports that have been the fundamental basis for decision making by our team of managers, it has also helped me a lot in the analysis of budgets in order to review all the costs and expenses that can be incur my business. Its affordable price was one of the reasons that moved us to be able to acquire the complete package of this system.

What do you like?

I like the integrated modules so that information flows from takeoffs to POs, etc. Integrated software eliminates redundant data entry and errors.

What do you dislike?

There are multiples steps to accomplishing tasks - it seems like you should be able to save a form without have to recalculate each time. There are a few places such as payroll and progress billing that seems like you could eliminate a step or two in order to make it more user friendly.

What problems is it solving?

We are finally getting solid job budgets, actuals, and variance reporting.

What do you like?

I really like the ability to look up pricing and calculate my sales commission. Sage 100 lets me have my own salesperson account that I can access on the road or at my desk.

What do you dislike?

It seems a little too complicated for what I use it for. I guess these are features that other co-workers use quite often but it leaves too many options to sort through to get to what I need

What problems is it solving?

We are using this as a remote sales, pricing, and inventory platform. It lets me check on my accounts, orders, and inventory on the road while making sales calls

Ease of use, ability to quickly learn software

Paid Time Off (PTO) tracking. losing quick access to prior year financials after archiving

What problems is it solving?

This system had already been used by my company for years when I was hired seven months ago. It is the easiest accounting system I have worked with to date. I like that data can be downloaded to Excel for easy manipulation and the screen print option allows you to drill down to the data source.

I am not a big fan of sage. It is crystal report based and not flexible. Like many software of this kind it is geared toward subcontractors.

What do you dislike?

Double entry. It is built for accounting and the pm side is not good. I also wish it was web based and played better with other databases.

What problems is it solving?

I use it to give reports and pm projects. It is used to manage and sort costs.
