What do you like?

This software works well for construction- especially job costing.

What do you dislike?

The financial accounting options are pretty clunky and not super user friendly.

What problems is it solving?

Breaking down information by job is very helpful and accurate.

What do you like?

The product meets our needs in that it provides good cost accounting.

What do you dislike?

Lacks innovation. The new features it releases such as Expenese Ease and the Employee Hub are very slow to get any new features and what features they say are going to be released are not very feature rich and have been stuck in permenent hold.

What problems is it solving?

The cost accounting is good and meet the minimums as far as our needs.

Great Value for Money

4.9
What do you like?

Very little, we have been on the system since 2011 and hope to move to a new system in 2022.

What do you dislike?

The support staff has gone downhill since Deltek purchased the company. Multiple INCORRECT answers to software and accounting related questions in reference to the way ComputerEase handles certain transactions. When we ask for documentation, we are told there is none available. When we have followed the support dept. instructions and then had issues, no one is accountable at ComputerEase and we are basically on our own to fix the corresponding issues. We are very disappointed with this company and their inability to support their product with the Customer.

What problems is it solving?

None.

Budgeting and Forecasting Capabilities

What do you like?

ComputerEase is very user-friendly compared to other accounting software. You can gather a lot of information for job costing, etc. For the construction industry, there is no comparison.

What do you dislike?

There is not very much that we dislike. When we do have issues, customer service responds in a timely fashion. I really do not have any suggestions on improvements.

What problems is it solving?

Job Costing was a huge issue with our previous software, ComputerEase has made this task easier. We are definitely more productive and performance has increased.

What do you dislike?

Not all of the data is correct. A lot of the information is hard to find.

For the most part the billing is correct

User Permissions and Access Control

What do you like?

I love that ComputerEase has ICloud feature; I can work remote and at the times that work in my schedule.

What do you dislike?

Wish the module features would automatically post to the GL; could possibly be monitored by user permissions and audit trails.

What problems is it solving?

Our job cost reporting features and accounting functions are rock solid for our small business.

Project Cost Tracking

4.1
What do you like?

ComputerEase is a very user-friendly software system for construction. Project managers find the product user-friendly along with the accountants. For instance, you no longer need to keep the prevailing wage reports after you print them off. You can go back into the system and reprint them. If you use the wrong general ledger account number in a journal entry, you can adjust it even if it has posted. You can create your own reports in Qtool. Qtool is user-friendly and the reports can be exported to Excel. ComputerEase also allows you to import most items in the system when creating a job budget, inventory, or sites for service, to name a few.

What do you dislike?

Not much, except for the time it takes to put in equipment for a preventative service maintenance. Once the import function happens, it will make us more efficient.

What problems is it solving?

ComputerEase does a nice job at incoporating items that the customers need. If the software doesn't have it, ask, they might be able to put it in the system for you.

Effective Cash Flow Management

4.5
What do you like?

One of the most valuable features of ComputerEase is the Import/Export options. This feature provides custom flexibility to maximize our workflow and save money.

What do you dislike?

The look and feel of the product is a little dated, and it is evident that Deltek is focused on making changes to both the base application and mobile option. More emphasis in this area will help differentiate Computerease from its competitors.

What problems is it solving?

ComputerEase provides the interconnect ability between back office functions that we need. These functions are AP / AR, Payroll, Job Costing, Banking, Support Management, Purchasing, Inventory and Asset Management.

Mobile App for On-the-go Access

3.9
What do you like?

ComputerEase combines power with a simple-to-use user interface, so it is easy to train new employees. We are a subcontractor that deals with retainage on payables and receivables, AIA forms, lien waivers, etc. Job costs are the bread and butter of what we do. Staying in support has meant that updates and upgrades are included as they come out, and over the decades, ComputerEase has never stopped innovating and adding features. When the Cares Act/PPP and other government programs came out with 941 tax relief during Covid-19, ComputerEase kept up with new and modified reports in a fast-paced, chaotic environment. Our CPA always comments on how easily I can give them data for our audits compared to other customers. Using ODBC and Excel add-in tools to connect to the underlying database adds even more flexibility to our reporting capabilities.

What do you dislike?

For years, I have been asking to be able to edit accounts receivable invoices as easily as I can accounts payable, but that is not a feature they have given us.

What problems is it solving?

We use ComputerEase for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and job costing functions for multiple companies.
